Shuki Zikri è uno degli stilisti di spicco del mondo, che detta la moda nell’arena globale in fatto di capelli. Negli ultimi 15 anni ha mantenuto una posizione di leader in Israele. Dal 1985 Shuki Zikri ha promosso la concezione dell’arte e del design dei capelli ad Israele, sviluppando anche un aspetto basato sulla cura, il design e l’arte dei capelli. Ha presentato uno stile creativo personale che capeggia e promuove tendenze all’interno del campo della moda e cura della persona. Il gruppo Shuki Zikri comprende una catena di saloni Shuki Zikri e anche una catena di scuole ed accademie Shuki Zikri Duri per il design dei capelli. Il concetto del gruppo Shuki Zikri è arte e design come parte di un aspetto globale che viene adattato su misura alla personalità ed allo stile di vita. Shuki Zikri ed un gruppo di professionisti del ramo presentano spettacoli e seminari davanti a migliaia di stilisti e professionisti della moda di tutto il mondo. Come sono stati i tuoi primi anni nel settore?
Come volontario, di nascosto dai miei genitori, nei pomeriggi presso un salone di acconciatura, da apprendista per osservare ed imparare come e che cosa serve fare in modo che le cose abbiano inizio. L’esperienza dell’apprendistato nell’acconciatura è stata qualcosa che ho imparato da solo, facendo esperienza sulle mie cosiddette “vittime”. Capire il mondo dei colori e dei tagli mi è stato portato dalla pratica.
Durante gli anni ’80 sono arrivato in Israele ed ho iniziato a lavorare presso un salone di acconciatura per un anno; successivamente ho comprato il posto per altri 4 anni. Nel 1985 ho aperto una catena di saloni Shuki Zikri, con l’apertura dell’ammiraglia Ben Yehuda a Tel Aviv, la prima casa madre.
Da dove vengono le tue idee di stile?
Potrebbe essere qualunque cosa che mi muove da dentro: musica, cinema, teatro, arte anche se devo dire che ciò che mi influenza maggiormente e da sempre è la strada…
Cos’è la moda per te?
Ho sempre considerato la moda come un linguaggio aggiuntivo attraverso il quale uno può comunicare, trasmettere un messaggio... (continua sulla rivista)

What where your early years in the industry like?
Volunteering, secretly from my parents, in the evenings at a hair salon, as a trainer, in order to watch and learn how, and what needs to be done in order to get things started. The hair dressing learning experience was something I taught myself by training on my so called “victims” hair. Learning the world of colors and haircuts was brought to me by practicing and mixing up gouache paints and drawings haircuts.
During the 80’s I arrived to Israel and started working at a hair salon for a year and afterwards, bought the place for another 4 years. In 1985, I opened up a chain of “Shuki Zikri” salons, with the opening of the, first main branch, the flagship at Tel Aviv – Ben Yehuda
Where do your style ideas come from?
It could be anything that moves me from the inside: music, movies, theater, art, but I have to say that what is influences me the most and always has is the street…
What is fashion for you?
I have always regarded fashion as an additional language in which one can communicate, in which one can convey a message... (it continues on the magazine)
